Become an Agency Partner

Is your nonprofit, school, or government agency looking for volunteers?  We are eager to partner with you and help you achieve your mission and goals! First, complete our short on-line registration form to become an Agency Partner.

L.A. Works Agency Partners must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an IRS designated 501(c)(3) non-profit, school or government entity.
  • Carry general liability insurance.
  • Not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual preference or national origin, age, marital or veteran status, or the presence of a non-related medical condition or disability.

Great!  Now We're Ready to Work Together!

Volunteer Referrals
We can post your need for volunteers on our website as a referral opportunity. If it is a date-specific need it will appear on our volunteer calendar; if it is an ongoing need it will be posted in our ongoing opportunities section. This allows for visitors to our website to learn about the volunteer opportunities that are available at your agency and to get connected to those opportunities. Volunteers can click on the "Have Agency Contact Me" link and we will send you the contact information of interested volunteers. You take it from there! Download a Referral Listing Form. Fill it out, email it back in, and it will be posted ASAP!

Managed Projects
L.A. Works can create a Managed Project for your agency. A Managed Project occurs on a regular basis (at least once per month) at your agency and is run by an L.A. Works' Project Leader. Project Leaders are volunteers who receive training and information to act as the liaison between L.A. Works, your agency, and volunteers. They are responsible for monitoring volunteer registration, developing project activities, and leading the volunteers on-site during the project. We handle all the administrative chores and provide you with a regular source of volunteers.  Download a Project Proposal form. Fill it out. Email it back in!

Day Of Service
L.A. Works also coordinates single-day Days of Service throughout the year that involve from 50 to 1000 volunteers. These Day of Service projects take place at the community partner sites of schools, community centers and transitional living facilities. Custom-designed projects fit our community partner's needs and range from serving the homeless, painting murals, planting community gardens and reading to children to large-scale facility beautification and makeovers of libraries, schools and community centers. If you are interested in having a Day of Service project at your site, contact Gil Gonzales at gil@laworks.com.
