Cesar Chavez Day of Service 2017

On Friday, March 31st L.A. Works volunteers will come together to beautify and improve a Title I school in Hollywood. Title I schools have a high proportion of low-income students, and can always use some extra help. This special Day of Service is intended to honor the legacy of Cesar Chavez and inspire a culture of service in the local community. The event will include light breakfast and a variety of volunteer activities followed by lunch.

This event IS specifically promoted for our Baby Boomer volunteers

Roll up your sleeves to repair and replace dated, peeling murals; paint school buildings; and rehabilitate and help expand a campus garden. Volunteers will also participate in a special project to honor Cesar Chavez.
