Mentor Families Transitioning Out Of Homelessness:
Be matched with families exiting homelessness as part of a mentor team in order to provide families with the life skills, support and community connections they need to break their cycle of homelessness and chronic poverty.
February 28th Orientation: 
Join us for a special one-stop -shop orientation and training event reserved just for our RSVP members. Attendees will complete an application, undergo a brief interview and participate in an accelerated training.

Build Capacity, Close the Achievement Gap. March. 13th
Our partner organization, Jumpstart, needs help to builds its capacity. Participate in an orientation and interview for capacity building roles in recruitment, advisory commitee, research, and/or volunteer coach. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER 

Advocate for Foster Youth: 

Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers are trained and supported to represent the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Tutor a Homeless Child:
Enhance the education of  k-12 children and youth who are homeless: those living in shelters, motels, foster group homes and on the street. Your help is needed so that these children and youth have the opportunity to succeed in school. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

After School Buddies:
Help with homework, a learning activity that boosts core academic skills such as reading or math, something that’s new and just plain fun, and a nutritious snack. Volunteers are needed weekdays, between 2pm-6:30pm depending on each school.CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Be A Reading Partner: 
Improve students’ reading skills. Work in Title I elementary schools to support students from low-income communities who are reading 6 months to 2.5 years below grade-level. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Reading and Games with Toddlers: 
Join us for a fun-filled evening with the toddlers at PATH Gramercy Family Center. L.A. Works volunteers visit the center to spend time reading, playing and caring for the kids while their parents attend classes and workshops. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Help in the Classroom of a Title 1 School: 
Tutor, mentor and assist at a local Title 1 middle school by supporting hard working teachers during and after school. Enhance the learning potential of youth in areas of art, art design, music and Mandarin language arts. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Mentor Children Impacted By Chronic Illness Through Arts & Athletics: 
Programming is offered throughout the year in 1-on-1 and group settings thoughout over Los Angeles county. For 1 hour over the course of 8 weeks, you will form a bond with your CoachArt students and create a lasting impact. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER

Organize Donations for Children in Need: 
Sort and deliver the essentials that hundreds of generous families and corporations donate every year. Being able to supply babies and children with the essentials they require, allows parents to focus on other important factors such as jobs, health, housing and more. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER
