Targeted Volunteer Management Coaching that Builds Capacity to Serve the Community
Our AmeriCorps VISTA Nonprofit Relations Coordinators offer nonprofits serving low-income communities the opportunity to receive one on one coaching and guidance in building effective and sustainable volunteer programs in order to increase the capacity of their impact on the community. The coaching will examine a variety of areas tied to volunteer engagement and management including creating and marketing volunteer roles, recruitment, matching, training/onboarding, supervision, recognition, evaluation, and retention.
In order to be eligible to participate in the program, nonprofits must have missions that fall in line with the VISTA program including:
- academic education and preparation for pre-K to college levels
- economic opportunity including housing, financial literacy and employment
- food sustainability or healthy, nutritional living
Qualified organizations must fill out our Volunteer Program Assessment Questionnaire
to better understand your current volunteer program and practices and your strengths and challenges. This assessment will help identify a project(s) that your organization and an AmeriCorps coach will work on together between two weeks and three months. Please only have one person from your organization fill it out.
For inquiries, please contact the appropriate AmeriCorps member below that relates to your organization's mission.
