Community Connections is an online tool for nonprofits to build community awareness of their organization and recruit volunteers to support their programs. Nonprofits can post a variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from large, one-day events and ongoing programming to specific skill-based roles. Nonprofits have access to thousands of community members who visit our website every day searching for ways to volunteer.
To get your volunteer projects and events featured on our website, please complete our online Community Connection Form. You can fill out this form for multiple uses.
If you need to make changes or updates to your postings or check on an existing or recently submitted posting, please email us at info [at] laworks [dot] com. Partner organizations currently do NOT receive Log In credentials after they register. L.A. Works manages your organizational profile and volunteer postings.
Important Tips to Know about Community Connections
L.A. Works designs and activates your volunteer posting.
We cannot guarantee volunteers for your opportunity, but can offer increased visibility.
Submit your opportunities as early as possible.
Allow 1-2 weeks for your posting to get activated. You will receive an email from us when it is live on our website.
Postings remain activate on our website for up to 6 months at a time. You'll receive an email when the expiration date is approaching asking if you'd like to renew your posting.
Partner organizations communication with, onboard and manage the L.A. Works volunteers that "express interest" in your opportunity.
