Donations to L.A. Works will support our year-round volunteer programs, creating lasting community impact through meaningful volunteer action. Forty-four percent of L.A. Works' projects each month focus directly on serving the needs of disadvantaged youth at shelters or transitional living facilities or Title I schools.  Twenty-four percent of the managed projects each month deal with issues of hunger (feeding or preparing meals) or homelessness (women's shelters). The remainder of the programming focuses on individuals with disabilities, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.

Thank you for choosing to help support L.A. Works and our myriad of community programs. L.A. Works is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is entirely funded by individual donations, corporate sponsorships, special events, and grants. As such, we rely heavily on the generosity and kindness of friends like you.

In Honor and Memorial Gifts

A gift in honor of a loved one provides a meaningful way to make a donation in the name of a family member of friend who is celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.). A memorial gift is a special way to provide a personal remembrance for a deceased family member or friend. When making a memorial or honor gift, the person or family you designate is sent a letter, and you receive an acknowledgement letter as a receipt.

To ensure proper acknowledgement, please provide: 1) Name of the person you want to memorialize or honor. 2) Name and address of the person you would like us to notify. 3) Your name and address.

Matching Gifts

Check with your employer, perhaps your company has a Matching Gift program. Your donation to L.A. Works will go even further if your company matches your gift. Thousands of companies have Matching Gift programs which double, or even triple individual, tax-deductible contributions made by their employees.
