| Food Sorting and Distribution (L.A. Regional Foodbank) |
Agency: Los Angeles Regional Foodbank
Description:
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank provides food to various non-profit agencies, ranging from large homeless shelters that feed hundreds of people a day to small daycare programs. This is an easy way to pitch in and help a fellow Los Angeles County resident. We will be sorting, shelving, and stacking food donations for distribution to agencies serving the hungry throughout Los Angeles County.
The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is the largest facility of its kind in the United States. In just the last five years it has distributed more than 100 million pounds of food. The Foodbank provides food to over 250,000 people weekly through 700 different community-based organizations.
Casual attire (jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes). NO OPEN-TOE OR HIGH HEEL SHOES.
