Description:
Three times a month, L.A. Works volunteers help sort, shelve and stack food donations for distribution to agencies serving the hungry throughout Los Angeles. L.A. Regional FoodBank provides food support to numerous community agencies serving Los Angeles, ranging from large homeless shelters that feed hundreds of people a day to small daycare programs. It is the second largest foodbank operating in the United States. Give a Day, Get a Disney Day: Volunteers who participate in this opportunity are eligible to earn a free ticket to a Disney theme park; however, the only way to receive a ticket is to sign up for this project through www.disneyparks.com. Special Note: Please wear casual attire (jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes). L.A. Regional FoodBank policy prohibits the following: tank tops, sleeveless shirts, sandals, open-toe or high-heel shoes. Age Requirement: Volunteers for this project must be at least 14 years of age. Minors: Any volunteer under the age of 18 will need to bring and have signed by a parent/guardian a Volunteer Agreement & Release for Minors. Minors will also need to bring and have signed by a parent/guardian a L.A. Regional Foodbank Liability Release for Minors in order to volunteer. Accessibility: L.A.
