Agency: Foundation for Second Chances, Inc

Description: Foundation for Second Chances is a community based organization which utilizes hands-on education, mentoring, health awareness and community service to maximize the potential of youth.

We are currently getting ready for our 4th Annual Gift of Giving Event. The event will take place on December 19, 2009 from 12pm-4pm at Veterans Park in Culver City. We will be inviting about 100-150 kids with their parents/guardians to enjoy a day filled of fun. Chef Brian Hill from Top Chef will cook for all the people who come out and he will invite people to help him cook. We would like to give 2-3 toys to each child that comes to the event; we are looking for toys for girls/boys ages 4-14.

We need 20 volunteers to help with the planning and execution of the event. The day of the event volunteers will assists the participating children and their parents with any needs they may have. We need volunteers to help with games, food, clean-up, face painting, passing out gifts, etc.
