Project Leader Training

Agency: L.A. Works

Description:

Project Leader

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in assuming a more active role in your community? If so, become an L.A. Works Project Leader.

At every L.A. Works managed project, volunteers are greeted by an L.A. Works Project Leader who provides an orientation and is ready to lead them in meaningful service.

Project Leaders are responsible for developing engaging and creative project activities, maintaining a good relationship with their nonprofit partner, communicating with volunteers leading up to the project and leading them on the day-of to maximize impact and ensure that they have a meaningful experience.

Project Leaders make a long-term commitment (ideally at least 6 months) to lead on a monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly basis, depending on the project and their availability. Project Leaders gain experience in program development, communication and volunteer management, allowing them to develop their skills and enhance their resume. In addition, being a Project Leader leads to greater awareness of issues in the community and can initiate a path toward becoming a community leader.

By attending our Project Leader Training you will learn how easy it is to lead on an issue that you care deeply about and to make a difference in your community! To sign up, chose a training date below and click “Sign Me Up”.
