| Teen Outreach @ L.A. Family Housing |
Agency: L.A. Family Housing
Description:
Twice monthly, L.A. Works volunteers visit the Sydney Irmas Transitional Living Center and engage their teens in creative and positive activities. Whether working together on an arts & crafts project, participating in a dance contest, playing Pictionary or charades or just having a good conversation, our goal is to brighten the teens' spirits by encouraging them to creatively express themselves and have a fun time.
L.A. Family Housing works to help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services. The Sydney Irmas Transitional Living Center provides temporary housing for families who require additional time for achieving sufficient independence to secure permanent housing.
