L.A. Works makes volunteering easy by offering one-time, short-term projects. You only need to sign up for one occurence of a project. Later, if you become interested, you can choose to volunteer at the same project several times a month.
SEARCH for projects by region, date or community impact. Do an advanced search with skills and interests or find projects suitable for specific ages. BROWSE a list of all projects which you can then filter by impact area or region. Or find a project quickly by date on the PROJECT CALENDER.
We also offer long-term projects such as "Let's Read" that provides a richer, more cohesive volunteer experience for you and the agencies we work with.

Project full? If a project occurrence is full and you'd like to be added to a wait list - Please click on the "send email" link next to the Project Leader's name and let them know you'd like to attend if space opens up. They'll email you if there are last-minute cancellations.
Ongoing Referrals. L.A. Works also lists ongoing referrals for agencies needing volunteers. These are not L.A. Works managed projects, but will probably be of interest to volunteers looking for long-term or open-ended volunteer opportunities.
