Calling All College Students!
Want to gain valuable work experience? Test the waters of the nonprofit world? Expand your network? Or simply get your hands dirty and help the community?
Studies show that volunteering while in college can help students:
- Discover potential career paths while bolstering resumes
- Meet new people and increase networking opportunities
- Put coursework into practice by testing theoretical knowledge in real-life community-based applications
- Learn new skills that can't be taught in the classroom
You can do all of this and more through L.A. Works! Whether you volunteer with one of our community partners or complete an internship in the L.A. Works office, you will gain insight into the issues affecting Angelenos, get real-life organizational experience, learn about yourself personally and professionally and have fun while doing it! L.A. Works has internship opportunities year-round that offer meaningful experience for all concentrations from graphic design to communications, from political science to public policy, from music education to business administration! Need academic credit or service learning hours? We can help you design an internship that meets your school's requirements!
