Each year tens of thousands of volunteers across the nation honor Dr. King’s legacy through acts of service. Join this movement to show Los Angeles your true corporate values, supporting the community where your employees live, work, and play.

On Monday, January 20, 2020 L.A. Works will organize more than a thousand Angelenos to commemorate the national MLK Day of Service holiday by honoring Dr. King’s great dream of “a nation that has a place at the table for children of every race.”

The event will kick-off with the inaugural breakfast conversation: A SEAT AT THE TABLE, featuring trailblazing community leaders and influencers in dialogue about their journey. After breakfast, volunteers will work together to beautify the Orville Wright Middle School STEAM Magnet, an LAUSD Title 1 school in the Westchester area.

Special guests in recent years have included: Mayor Eric Garcetti, Councilmembers Mitch O'Farrell and David Ryu, Deputy Mayor Brenda Shockley, Lakers Legends James Worthy, AC Green, and Derek Fisher as well as actors O' Shea Jackson Jr. and Justin Baldoni and Ret. Judge Candace Cooper. For MLK Day 2019, the total calculated publicity value for a story count of 23 was: $116,134.

Sponsorship benefits include items like priority registration for your employees, reserved seating at breakfast, ads in the event program, and select logo placement across communication channels. Table host sponsorship opportunities are also available.
