Quick Overview: Volunteers are to assist the lead ukulele instructor by helping members learn the how to play and perform the ukulele.

Mission or Broader Program Description: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice Music Program aims to provide music education to an under-served community of Los Angeles. Most of our members do not have access to the arts and come from low income households. We feel that music education should be available to children of all backgrounds as it is proven to enrich lives. 

Impact: There is a growing interest for music programming at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice but not enough helping hands to meet the demand. Your donated time will have a direct impact on our young asipring musicians. Being able to divide more time and attention between students really makes the difference in creating positive outcomes. 

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Assist lead ukulele instructor in weekly classes and activities. Ensure the safety and well being of club members by reporting any unusual behavior. Volunteers must report directly to the Music & Performing Arts Director.

Requirements: Volunteers for this opportunity must have experience playing ukulele and basic knowledge of music theory. The difficulty level of song pieces learned in ukulele class range from extremely easy to average.
