Quick Overview: Join our indoor introductory class to learn more about how you can help improve Peninsula trails! Plus snacks and coffee will be provided! Following this course, join us for field classes held every 2nd Saturday from 9am to 12pm that focus on various techniques for erosion repair, building rock walls, proper pruning and more!
Mission or Broader Program Description: The Trail Crew Program is essential for managing our 40 miles of trail on the Peninsula. Issues such as erosion or non-beneficial use on trails can be resolved in just 1 day of skilled work! These trails allow visiotrs to experience the preserves hiking, biking, and as equestrians.
Impact: Volunteers are making a huge difference to thousands of trail users every year with this much needed trail maintenance and building.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: At this training, volunteers will learn practical skills and various techniques for erosion repair, building rock walls, proper pruning and more. Their role is to participate in monthly trail repair activities.
Requirements: No experience needed, 18 and over.
