Quick Overview: Mentors will be paired with youth who have been sexually exploited. Mentors and mentees with meet for 12 months, 4-8 hours a month.
Mission or Broader Program Description: Community for Change Mentorship Program is dedicated to connecting sexually exploited youth with dedicated, caring adults as mentors. Our goal is to decrease the youths likeihood of being re-exploited by building a relationship with adult who can offer support, guidance and friendship.
Impact: Youth who have mentors are:
55% more likely to enroll in college
52% less likely to skip school
130% more likely to hold a leadership position
46% less likely to use drugs
27% less likely to drink alcohol
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Mentors will meet individually with their mentee, as well as participate in group activities with all other program participants. Mentors will determine mentoring schedule with mentee, each mentors schedule varies.
Requirements: 21 years old +, written application, interview, background check, initial and ongoing trainings.

Additional Details: We provide mentors to youth in South Los Angeles, North Hollywood and Alhambra. Our addresses are undisclosed until a mentor completes the application process.
