Quick Overview: Educators - Instructors - Tutors are needed to support underprivileged children at Joseph Learning Lab's Summer Enrichment Program. It is six weeks of fun learning for 3rd - 6th grade underprivileged children who need help this summer so they are not left behind the learning curve.
Mission or Broader Program Description: Joseph Learning Lab's mission is to close the learning gap, reduce the dropout rate, develop students of all ages and diverse backgrounds and allow them an equal opportunity for learning and personal growth.
Impact: The time that you volunteer supports underprivileged children so they are not left behind the learning curve. Many children formulate ideas about dropping out of school at the elementary grade level. These are the children you can help us turn around by allowing them adequate time and attention to learn and succeed.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Instructors are needed at the Learning lab from 8am - 3pm to tutor children in 3rd - 6th grade who need help with reading and comprehension, computer lab for math, science and other core courses. There are also field trips and fun fit-sports to address the nation's child obesity issue.

Requirements: Educators, Instructors or Tutors who are comfortable teaching children in 3rd - 6th grade in a learning environment, where they can grasp and learn and not fall behind the learning curve.
