To serve the disenfranchised members of our global family, here in Los Angeles County, by producing holiday-themed community service projects, designed to teach volunteer activism on the grassroots level. These events bring the HOLIDAYS to those who may not otherwise celebrate such~ whether by intention, lack of means or circumstance ~ due to homelessness, loneliness, despair, apathy, disabilities, poverty, lack of family, or perceived lack of deservedness. And, with you by our side … We ARE Making A Difference … One Heart At A Time. Program Description: We Will Be Assisting Our Elderly Family Members To Do Something Therapeutic And “Earthy” By Getting Their Fingers In The Soil And Transplanting Plants Into Terra-Cotta Pots For Their Rooms. We Will Then Be Facilitating A Wonderful Sing-A-Long With Them ~ “Americana” At Its Best ! Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Helping The Elderly To Transplant House Plants Into Terra Cotta Pots. Delivering Those Plants To Their Rooms. Afterward, Volunteers Will Be Singing With The Senior Citizens. Time Commitment: 2.5 hours. Requirements: No Singing Ability Required !! :-) - No Project Supplies Required. - Just Bring Yourself And A Upbeat And Cheerful Attitude ! Benefits: Helping An Elderly Person Feel That They Are Deserving And Worthy Of Attention, Care And Celebration. Bringing A Sense Of Purpose Into Their Lives. Providing A Therapeutic Outlet For Those Who Are Sedentary Or Non-Ambulatory. *This project is created, organized and managed by our nonprofit partner.
