Quick Overview: Our Quality Improvement (QI) Manager is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of projects. It is a great opportunity for someone interested in Quality Improvement as the volunteer will receive training directly from our QI Manager. It is also a valuable experience for volunteers interested in a career in public health or medicine as you will get a behind the scenes look at a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Mission or Broader Program Description: We are a federally qualified nonprofit health center dedicated to improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of people in the communities we serve, regardless of income. We have been serving our community since 1920.
Impact: Your volunteer efforts will enable us to analyze patient feedback and health measures so that we can determine which areas we need to focus on in order to improve patient health outcomes. The end result of your volunteer time will be improved patient care and health.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: The work will involve data entry and analysis, report building, and auditing charts. Individualized projects are available depending on volunteer availability and Excel skill level as well as the department's bandwith.
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer, bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, basic knowledge of Excel preferred.
Monday-Friday 8-4:00 pm; minimum of 3 hrs/week for 12 weeks required. Parking validation provided.
