Mission or Broader Program Description: The Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges creates public awareness and secures funding to provide financial assistance and broad-based community support for the Los Angeles Community College District, its nine Colleges, students, faculty, staff and programs.

Impact: We provide scholarships to help students succeed in college and in life.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: The Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges requests assistance with bookkeeping using QuickBooks for non-profits. This may include structuring accounts, data entry and running reports.  Additionally, the Foundation requests help in transcribing recorded minutes, data maintainence of records and donor data entry. 

Requirements: It would be helpful if the volunteer has bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, particularly in the non-profit sector. The offices of the Foundation are located in downtown Los Angeles. Offices hours may vary but generally staff are present from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm weekdays.

Additional Details: We have a friendly working group and are passionate about helping students.

Accessibility:  We are in the offices of the Los Angeles Community College District and we comply with ADA rules and guidelines.
