Mission: California Native Plant Society strives to spread appreciation and awareness of California Native Plants and support rare plant conservation.
Impact: The garden is the top location on the Palos Verdes Peninsula to see El Segundo blue butterflies and your efforts will directly benefit this imperilled species. This is also a regularly frequented area on the bluff for visitors and provides a critical outreach opportunity!

The California Native Plant Society, South Coast Chapter is pleased to announce that we are seeking a motivated Horticulture Intern to help restore the Point Vicente Interpretive Garden demonstration garden. Through the program, students and recent graduates will work directly with the Garden Manager at the picturesque oceanside native plant garden at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Applicants should submit a brief resume and cover letter addressed to Megan Wolff at firstname.lastname@example.org. All applicants must state the name of the internship in the subject line of the email. The application deadline is November 1st, 2019 at 5pm.
Duration: 50 hours or 3-months; meeting biweekly on Tuesdays 4pm-6pm
Additional Details: Interns have the opportunity to work on a large re-vegetation project to benefit an endangered species and educate the public with unique and rare native plants. Interest in native flora and environmental education. Must be 18 years or older.
