Quick Overview: Care for our rescue bunnies by doing bunny exercises, cleaning pens, bagging hay and more.
Mission: Rabbit Rescue is a non-profit 501c(3) no-kill rabbit shelter staffed and run entirely by volunteers. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of abandoned rabbits, as well as public education regarding proper rabbit care and the importance of spay/neuter in battling the escalating overpopulation problem.
Impact: We continually take in unwanted rabbits from regional shelters. Along with our love, these animals need immediate medical care, spay/neuter surgery, and daily food/litter/toys. In addition, we often must pay shelter fees to rescue bunnies who otherwise are in danger of euthanasia.
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteers will care for our rescue bunnies by feeding, watering, and exercising them, as well as cleaning their pens, bagging hay, and more.
Requirements: Please dress casually in clothing you won't mind getting dirty. We take bunnies out for playtime, clean their cages/pens, and bag hay, vegetables and feed. Volunteers must be ages 16 and older. All volunteers must bring a completed volunteer waiver form. You can find our waiver at rabbitrescue.com or fill one in onsite at our adoption center. Our bunnies look forward to meeting you!
