Volunteer with Seniors at an Assisted Living

Mission or Broader Program Description: This is section is for your mission or a specific program description to give your volunteers more context on the broader mission they’re serving Ex. Wags and Walks is a community of dog lovers working to promote shelter dogs as the best dogs in the world and to break the stigma that rescue dogs are damaged goods. Through advocacy of unique family-friendly foster and adoption programs, Wags and Walks’ commitment is to help decrease the number of dogs euthanized in local shelters by showing the community that you can find wonderful dogs of all breeds and sizes through rescue.
Impact: This section is very important, volunteers want to know what difference they’re making by giving you their time. Be sure to think about what impact your volunteers have on your organization Ex. Your volunteer efforts contribute to the happiness and health our dogs. Every time a volunteer walks a dog it contributes to relieving that dogs stress by 25%.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: This section is for anything left out of the overview at the top or if you’d like to get into more detail about the type of work they’ll be doing Ex. Every second Saturday come volunteer to have fun with adorable and adoptable dogs at the Wags and Walks Adoption Center. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to walk, bath, feed and play catch with the dogs at the adoption center.
Requirements: This is for any specific requirements that volunteers need to know before or during their service. Ex. 18 years or older, must be comfortable around dogs of all breeds, sizes
Safety protocol and handling is of the utmost importance while walking the dogs and no cell phones while walking the dogs
