Quick Overview: Brown Bags for Families is Drew CDC’s collaborative effort with the LA Food Bank, specifically for the families in our Child Care Centers but also open to the entire community.
Mission: Drew Child Development Corporation’s mission is to prepare the children of Watts-Willowbrook, Compton and South Los Angeles to succeed and thereby strengthen our community’s future.
Impact: This program will provide healthy food options to help alleviate some of the financial pressures of grocery shopping. Proving families with meals to gather over will help strengthen family relations and our community.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Set up tents, tables and chairs 
  • Unpack food from cars
  • Set up tables
  • Prepare sign-in
  • Packing brown bags
  • Distributing food and flyers for the program

Requirements: Please dress comfortably, and bring water.

Additional Details: Spanish speakers needed.
