⚙ Create Care Kits for the Homeless
Quick Overview: Want to help your neighbors experiencing homelessness during COVID-19? Assemble kits for our community's most vulnerable; individuals and families who have/are experiencing homelessness.
Mission: PATH's mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. Since 1984, PATH has worked across the state of California to deliver life saving services. While the rest of California stays at home, many of our homeless neighbors don’t have anywhere to turn. PATH will remain on the front lines to help our most vulnerable through street outreach, case management, and food support. We need volunteers like YOU to help us by sending life-saving supplies to those most in need.
Impact: PATH serves over 20% of the homeless population in California, through nine interim housing shelters, 14 supportive housing communities, and dozens of outreach teams hitting the streets each day. All of these services will continue through the COVID-19 crisis. Many of those living on the streets are older, sick, or have underlying health issues. This is the group of people who are at the most risk of COVID-19. Now more than ever PATH's work is saving lives, with your support.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: When you express interest for this opportunity, we will follow up with how to purchase supplies through our Amazon CharityList or how to schedule a donation drop-off.

Help our new residents feel safe and comfortable in their new home by providing a "Welcome Home Kit" filled with basic home goods, kitchen items, and cleaning supplies. Welcome Home Kits are critical, especially amidst all the uncertainty of the global health pandemic. These kits not only meet our families’ essential needs, but they ensure that their space truly feels like home.

Food Support Kits For Seniors Our neighbors living in supportive housing are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19. We are in need of non-perishable food donations, so that they may remain safe and healthy in their homes. When you are next out grocery shopping, please consider filling your basket with a few extra food items and/or cleaning supplies to help our most vulnerable neighbors stay healthy.
Food support bags can be assembled in cardboard boxes or reusable grocery bags. These kits will be distributed directly to those most in need.

- Canned goods
- Non-perishable snacks
- Cleaning supplies
Requirements: Feel free to get creative with these kits! Handwritten notes boost morale and let our neighbors know they are not alone.
