Age Minimum (with Adult): 55+, Minimum Age:55+
Graphic Designer for Hollywood Food Coalition (for 55+)
Quick Overview: Use your graphic design and marketing skills to help tell the story of the Hollywood Food Coalition, which serves meals and provides essential services to the homeless and other food insecure populations 365 days a year. The Hollywood Food Coalition wants to do a better job reaching donors and volunteers through materials such as brochures, impact reports and marketing decks.
Organization: Hollywood Food Coalition
Mission: The mission of Hollywood Food Coalition is to feed and serve the immediate needs of the hungry every night of the year so they can build better lives. Our vision is a city where everyone has food, community, and support. For 33 years, we have served a hot, nutritious dinner every night of the year to homeless and food insecure individuals. All our food is donated, and we share thousands of pounds of excess food with partner social service organizations all across the city. As an essential service, we have remained open during the COVID-19 crisis and will continue to serve those who struggle to access food for years to come.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: We are looking for someone with graphic design and marketing skills to help us create printed and digital materials that would tell the full story of Hollywood Food Coalition to potential donors and volunteers. We are looking to re-vamp our existing one-sheet and create an impact report and marketing deck. We are also looking to maximize the potential of our existing look (we are not looking to rebrand) through the creation of a style guide that would be adopted throughout the organization. We really want someone who knows how to tell a story through graphic design. This work could all be done virtually and on a project basis.
- Graphic design skills and software with ability to create print-ready marketing materials.
- Marketing experience so the materials tell our story to stakeholders.
- Submission of resume and samples of past work required.
This volunteer opportunity is offered and managed by L.A. Works RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) Pro Bono whose mission is to utilize the professional experience of adults age 55+ to help fulfill the missions of nonprofit organizations.
