L.A. Works

Quick Overview: Volunteers will assist in handing out free lunches to the homeless community. We will drive to areas in South Los Angeles to feed people in need.

Impact: With food insecurity becoming a bigger problem and as the unhoused population in LA grows, you'll directly help provide a much-needed meal to members of our community who so desperately need it.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteers will hand out "Hot Lunches to homeless communities in South Los Angeles and Mid-Downtown Los Angeles, also give water, snacks, (backpacks and blankets on some events). Please have a friendly smile, wear mask and gloves at all times. We will practice the 6ft distance and regulations at all times. This is particularly important because unhoused populations are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe!

Requirements: 

• Please bring photo ID.
• Wear comfortable attire; jeans and sneakers are OK.
• You must have your own transportation for all event dates
• If you are under 18 yrs old, you must be accompanied by an adult.
