Caribbean Heritage Festival

OVERVIEW
Seeking volunteers to assist setup & takedown for parade and cultural celebration presented by Los Angeles Cultural Festival and the Caribbean Heritage Festival.
 
MISSION
The Los Angeles Cultural Festival's goal is to express the Colors of Culture & Freedom of the World as One People – celebrating and honoring our great city’s multicultural society, living and flourishing in harmony.

IMPACT
The Los Angeles Culture Festival promotes cultural awareness by throwing events that enables expressing the colors of culture and freedom of the world as one people. Come and share in our sense of purpose, community, and excitement. 

Volunteering with this organization will allow you to give back to the community. You can be a part of an exceptional team, gain professional experience, build a sustainable network and enhance your resume. 

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in setup and takedown
  • Provide general information to participants
  • Serve food and water
LIST OF ACTIVITIES TO EXPECT
  • Event Capacity: 6,000 people
  • Live music performances by bands and DJ's
  • Dance Performances
  • Carnival Costumes
  • Caribbean Heritage Award
  • Children's Activities (Face Painting, Balloons, etc.)
  • Caribbean Food Vendors
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Shopping vendor booths
VOLUNTEER PERKS 
  • Free access to Main Event
  • Free admission for (1) additional guest
  • Free lunch and refreshments
  • Free t-shirt with a wristband
  • Certificate upon successful completion
ADDITIONAL INFO 
The Los Angeles Caribbean Heritage Festival is a collaboration with the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Culture Festival®. The festival is an explosion of Cultural Fusion celebrating the rich, and diverse colorful culture of the Caribbean. Together we are proud to present the annual Caribbean Heritage Festival featuring colorful Costumes, Music, Dances, Arts and Crafts, Food, Music, and Traditions representing the Caribbean! The event would be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza Mall upper Parking Deck with a 6,000 capacity.
