What: Help kids learn guitar and on their homework!
Program mission: Cultivating hope and resilience to enrich the well-being of children, adults, families, and communities.Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: Each session strives to develop a lasting connection with a student through music and tutoring. Volunteers will assist with music lessons at the start of service and end with tutoring students in different subjects. We strive to create a supportive, fun, setting for learning. *Volunteers do not need any prior teaching experience.
Time Commitment: Volunteers are encouraged to commit to at least three Saturdays in order to instill learning consistency for the kids in building up their reading levels and to develop a solid, trusting relationship with the students.
All volunteers on the premises must clear a Background Check once they’ve attended three consecutive sessions.
Be a registered L.A. Works volunteer. If you are not, Register Now.
