Host an AmeriCorps VISTA member

Volunteer Corps is L.A. Works' AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program dedicated to ending poverty by building the capacity of nonprofit organizations and public agencies. VISTA aims to build capacity in nonprofit organizations and public agencies to help them more effectively generate the commitment of private sector resources, to encourage volunteer service at the local level, and empower individuals and communities to raise their standards of living. As a Volunteer Corps host site, you'll gain a full-time VISTA member at your organization for one year who is tasked with enhancing your volunteer infrastructure.

Host Sites help to underwrite the member’s stipend, which has been adjusted to accommodate the VISTA Cost of Living Increase to $18,177 plus health insurance and the education award; however, L.A. Works is able to subsidize the rates so that host sites are only responsible for the following fees:
$12,000- first-year host site; $13,000- second-year; $14,000- third-year. Plus a $3,000 Non-refundable Recruitment and Administrative fee is due at
the time of signing the MOA.

L.A. Works is currently recruiting host sites for the August 2020 cohort!
