DOVIA-LA is a professional membership association for individuals who lead, manage, and recruit volunteers for a diverse range of nonprofit organizations. Members meet bi-monthly to network, build skills, and learn about current issues in the field of volunteer management.

Professional Development
DOVIA-LA membership provides benefits such as education, educational tools, resources, and connecting with like-minded people. Whether you’re new to the field, a seasoned professional or anywhere in between, l learning from one another’s experiences can help with professional and personal development through understanding tried and true as well as innovative approaches to our work.
Networking
Learn Los Angeles area best practices while sharing resources with other members and organizations so you don’t have to ‘reinvent the wheel.’ Sharing knowledge, we can accomplish more for our organizations’ missions. DOVIA-LA is also a safe place to be able to discuss the needs, issues, and experiences of volunteer engagement professionals striving to achieve work-life balance.
Leadership
Membership includes opportunities to serve on our DOVIA-LA Advisory Committee or assist with special projects. Gain experience while enhancing your resume! These are opportunities for members to boost their leadership skills while having a hand in guiding the association with member support and input.
Bi-Monthly Meetings
We hold five in-person training meetings each year in a centralized location in Los Angeles. The meetings include workshops and presentations from local experts on topics relevant to our members. These meetings include networking and resource-sharing opportunities as well as a continental breakfast. Meetings are included in the price of membership. Non-members are welcome to attend as guests for $15.
Annual Conference
Our conference is our biggest event of the year and gathers volunteer engagement professionals and non-profit professionals across Southern California. This conference features speakers from the field of volunteer engagement and includes a full day of workshops curated especially for professionals who work with volunteers. Typically taking place in October, this event is offered at a discounted rate to our members.
Resources
DOVIA-LA membership includes access to our members-only portal which includes member exclusive volunteer engagement resources, educational tools and our member roster which members utilize to connect with others and resource share outside of our meetings.

Individual Agency Membership

$50 Annually

For multiple employees managing volunteers in the same agency, the annual membership fees are $60 for the primary contact and $50 for each additional member.
