FAVE ofrece proyectos de servicio, actividades de defensa y kits educativos únicos para familias y jóvenes de todas las edades que enseñan sobre una variedad de causas.
Ya sea en casa o en el sitio, tenemos actividades únicas y apropiadas que pueden involucrar a toda la familia en el servicio comunitario, ¡desde niños pequeños hasta adolescentes, y todos los que están en el medio! Join a cohort of teens for a hands-on volunteer experience with Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR).
Meet FoLAR:
Founded 1986 by Lewis MacAdams
Friends of the Los Angeles River has spent nearly 40 years changing how Angelenos see, use, and care for the LA River — restoring habitat, improving river access, and building the next generation of environmental leaders.
FoLAR has mobilized tens of thousands of volunteers to prove that individual action, multiplied by community, changes a city's relationship with its river.
LEARN
Get behind the scenes and understand an important LA issue.
SERVE
Get hands-on restoring and caring for the LA River.
LEAD
Build responsibility, teamwork, and real-world experience.
CONNECT
Meet other teens who want to make a difference.

11/15 - Family Volunteer Day at LA River Center
Program dates:
10/3 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Steelhead Park
10/6 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm FOLAR office
10/8 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Online Meeting
10/10 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Sepulveda Basin
10/14 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm FOLAR office
10/15 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Online Meeting
10/24 7:00 am - 11:00 am Sepulveda Basin
10/28 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm FOLAR office
10/29 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Online Meeting
11/14 7:00 am -11:00 am Sepulveda Basin
In addition to the mandatory dates, participants must attend 2 additional online meetings and 3 in person events.
Teens are responsible for their own transportation to service events
L.A. Works staff will supervise and support teens throughout the program
