Yes! It is 100% free to participate in the volunteer activities throughout the festival. You can register yourself for tickets on the ticket sign-up page.
Although admission is free, please consider making a donation!
L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 1991 to harness LA’s volunteer power as a way to unite Angelenos and inspire action to help build a more equitable LA. While generous sponsors help to partially underwrite events like our MLK Volunteer Festival, they don’t cover all the costs which include staff, insurance, site fees, and project supplies. This MLK Day, please consider adding a donation to your gift of service, as we all come together in support of our beloved community.

2. My company/organization wants to volunteer as a group, how do we arrange that?

You can explore sponsorship options here: https://www.laworks.com/sponsormlk2026

Please reach out to Nathan Read, nathan@laworks.com to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
