Welcome to the 2026 MLK Day Volunteer Festival

Dear MLK Day Volunteer,

Today, we gather to live Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy through service and community. One year after devastating fires and amid ongoing challenges across Los Angeles, your choice to show up today matters. Change doesn’t happen all at once. It grows when people care for one another, again and again.

As we celebrate L.A. Works’ 35th year, thank you for being part of this day and this movement toward a more connected and hopeful Los Angeles.

Most sincerely,

We always have ways to engage the whole family, even our youngest volunteers, while still making the volunteer experience meaningful for older children, teenagers, and adults.
